There’s still time to register for the 2017 NERC- Brooks “All Terrain” Race series.   This year, for all the runners who complete all nine races in the series, you will be entered in a Boston “sports package”  lottery drawing winner that includes 4 tickets to a Red Sox, Bruins and Celtics game and 2 tickets to a Patriots game… all in 2018.   Last year, the lottery winner won a trip to the Seattle Marathon. Runners will also receive a Brooks jacket for completing all 9 races and a Brooks tech shirt for finishing 8 of the 9 races.  I attached a form to sign up for this year’s series.  The first race will be the Tapleyville 7 Mile Classic on April 30.

Gator Gallop 5K – Postponed to Sunday, April 2nd!

General Race Information: Due to safety concerns with Saturday’s weather, the 4th Annual Gator Gallop is being rescheduled to SUNDAY, April 2nd. Mother Nature is getting the last laugh this April Fool’s Day!

The event schedule will be the exact same on Sunday, with check-in and day-of registration opening at 8:15 AM, the children’s 1M at 9 AM and the 5K at 9:30 AM. Features include great competition, generous prizes, the amazing Bobbi Gibb, extensive raffles, rocking music, GUSS the Gator, treats from our wonderful sponsors, and lots of fun!!

We sincerely hope that you are able to join us on a sunny Sunday. And, if you are 11-29 or 50 plus, you fit one of the four 5K age brackets that are light, and our prizes are awesome. hint… hint… Again, day-of registration open at 8:15 AM.

2017 YMCA of the North Shore Road Race Series

2017 marks the 11th year of the YMCA of the North Shore Road Race Series! Join the Y for 10 fun-filled events for all ages. Because everyone has a REASON TO RUN!

This year we run for children. Proceeds from the 2017 YMCA of the North Shore Road Race Series will support local Y initiatives that combat childhood obesity. Your support and generosity will allow us to better serve the needs of children in our community as we help them reclaim their health.

2017 Salem Spring Race Weekend!

March is right around the corner and that means a weekend of racing fun in the Runner Friendly Community of Salem, Massachusetts! On Saturday, March 11th there is the Black Cat 10/20 Miler and then on Sunday, March 12th the Nutty Irish Cocoa Run takes place. Get all the details on each race below.

General Race Information:The Black Cat 10 and 20 Miler is in its 6th year! The 10 mile event makes for a great winter goal and the 20 mile falls at the perfect time for all of you training for Boston or an early spring marathon. This is one of the most scenic endurance events with the best volunteers, aid stations at every 1.5miles and cool swag.

SWAG: All Runners will receive a custom race shirt. You will also receive a finisher medal upon completion of the race.

General Race Information: After you cross the finish line, warm up inside with some fresh made Irish Bread, succulent Fruit and a Hot Cocoa Bar! Choose your own flavor or mix and match… we will have some very unique cocoas and of course the old school faves! Some of the specialty flavors include Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel, Raspberry, and a surprise flavor for 2016. Participants 21+ will have the option to spice up their cocoa with Baileys, Amaretto, Irish Cream or opt in for a crowd favorite….. The Nutty Irishman!
